Western NY MRI is pleased to announce that we are one of the few facilities in Western NY to receive ACR Breast MRI accreditation and that we have the first Hitachi MRI scanner in the United States to receive ACR Breast MRI Accreditation. The ACR(American College of Radiology) began its Breast MRI accreditation program in May 2010. Facilities must submit clinical images and corresponding data for each MRI scanner they have that performs Breast MRI exams. The images are then reviewed by a panel of board certified expert radiologists and physicists for image quality. Also reviewed are the qualifications of personnel and equipment performance.
