MRI Scan

HEAD & NECK MRI

This exam is used to help diagnose brain tumor, MS, stroke, optic neuritis, pituitary tumors, neck masses, TMJ disorders, or any abnormalities.

A contrast injection may be required for these exams.

 

SPINE MRI

Spine MRI including cervical spine, thoracic spine and lumbar spine exams help to diagnose herniated disc, spinal stenosis, compression fractures and many other abnormalities of the spinal column that may be causing you pain or discomfort.

A contrast injection may also be required for these exams.

 

ABDOMEN & PELVIS MRI

Abdomen & Pelvis MRI including liver, pancreas, kidneys, adrenal glands and organs in the pelvis are typically breath hold studies which may require a contrast injection. Also, you may be asked to drink a contrast material that helps us to see these organs better.

 

MRA (magnetic resonance angiography)

This is a scan that examines blood vessels (veins and arteries). This can be used to diagnose aneurysms, atherosclerosis and many other abnormalities in the blood vessels. You may be injected with a contrast for this procedure. We are able to perform MRA examinations on almost any artery or vein in the body.

BREAST MRI

Our WNY MRI location performs bilateral Breast MRI and Breast MRI Guided Biopsy. A contrast injection is given for this procedure.
